fyi - below is some useful information concerning how some boat stuff
works......

initial booking of
your charter to
casting off on the
first day!

Ø
a
contract package will be mailed or e-mailed to your home or
office
Ø
a 50%
deposit is due within two weeks
Ø
submit
your yachting resume via the electronic form found on our website or fax/mail

fax signed contract and crew manifest to tmm

office
Ø
we will
send a charter confirmation and free cruising guide via
us priority
mail within 24 hours of receiving your deposit
Ø
a
reminder of final payment will be sent via
us
mail 60 days prior to your charter start. the balance is due no later than 45
days prior to your charter start. if you would like to use the same credit card
as was used for your deposit, please fax another signed credit card form to our
office (available on our web-site).
Ø
submit arrival and departure information for all crew members
no later than 45 days prior to your charter. please note that we provide free
taxi service in all locations with the exception of the tmm belize/san pedro
base as this base is one block from the airstrip!
Ø
submit
all requests for lodging, connecting flights
(belize only)
and any provisioning requests 45 days prior to charter
start.
arrival at base / first day of charter

if
you have booked a prior nights sleepaboard on your yacht, you may board at
4:00
p.m.
or after
Ø
ideally, you should be at the base to begin the briefing
process by 8:30
a.m. on the first day of your charter. you can pay for
any last minute additions to your charter at this time with a credit card,
travelers checks or cash.

until 5:00
p.m. after hours messages can be left
on the answering machine. our base staff will contact you as soon as possible
with any emergency messages received.
cell
phones on your yacht
british
virgin islands - a $175.00 deposit will be applied
to your credit card by cct boatphone, not
tmm at the beginning of your charter. calls made
will be deducted from your card balance. at the end of your charter, calls will
be totaled and all additional charges applied to your card. if you still have a
credit balance, a credit will be issued to your card by cct boatphone at the end
of that month. any questions regarding your charges should be directed to cct
boatphone, not tmm.
belize
- a cell phone is provided at a rate of $1.00 per day. this fee includes
approximately 10 minutes of local calling time. additional minutes will require
the purchase of calling cards which are availble from the tmm base office. some
1800 & 1900 band usa
based cell phones & european tri-band cellphones will work in
belize;
check with your service provider.
st.
vincent - cell phones are provided, along with a
complementary credit of $7.00. all calls to tmm's office are free, as well as
incoming calls. if you wish to make additional overseas calls, this requires
purchasing extra minutes from the tmm office upon arrival. rechargeable calling
cards in the amount of $20.00 are available at the tmm base office for this
purpose.
